Sledding/ATV

February 5, 2011

After Monday's blizzard and Friday's follow up snow, we had plenty of snowpack for an afternoon of sledding, towing, and ATV riding at the Moore's.  We bundled up and headed over.  It was a beautiful sunny day with highs topping out in the 40's for the first time in a week.  A warm fire was lit in a stove in the front yard, and at one time there was about 20 people out in the pasture.  The adults chatted while the kids took turns sledding into a steep dry ditch that runs through the property.  We all got a few rides in on the 4-wheelers, and I even towed Dylan and Foster a few times behind Brady's bike.  unfortunately, I was still a bit weak from the stomach flu I came down with a few days earlier.  As the guys settled in by the fire at dusk and the girls headed in to watch a movie, I headed home to rest.  Kel and Dylan stayed behind and caught a ride with Steph.  It was still great to get out and enjoy the winter scene, even if I was less than 100%.
