Zac Keever and I bought tickets to the Elite 8 on our way out of the game Friday night against Syracuse. We were pumped up, as we thought Hansbrough did not have a chance to contain Blake Griffin. We were right. Unfortunately, the rest of Carolina was better than the rest of OU. The Tarheels jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. It turned out to be Blake's last game as a Sooner, and UNC went on to win it all.
In hindsight, it was still awesome just to witness two of the best teams in the country go at it, even though the team I was rooting for ended up on the short end. I will say this about the Carolina fans, they travel well. The crowd had to be about 75% - 25% in favor of Carolina. After the game, we had to go back to mom and dad's, load up, and immediately head back to Oklahoma. It was a long day!
