Hexed!

This day initially appeared like a good chase day, so Mike and I took off work and headed toward Paducah, TX. As we neared, I called Kellie at home for a weather update, since I could not receive data on my phone anymore. It became clear that the dryline had not progressed as far east as first anticipated. We continued south and west and supercells fired southwest of Lubbock. We were in a perfect spot to intercept the storms, but they quickly went multi-cellular and were reduced to a wind/hail threat.

On the way home, we were hit with strong straight-line winds as we punched the squall line. The winds stripped out my windshield wiper. Mike somewhat rigged the wiper and we carefully punched the squall to get in front of the storms so we could get back home. As we neared Wichita Falls I hit the Texas state animal, the Armadillo, with the car. We had to be hexed!
