Data suggested that a significant outbreak of storms might occur along the dryline in North Central OK and South Central KS. The cap appeared strong, but significant moisture was forecast to overcome it. I met Robbie at my house, and we proceeded north on I-35 toward the OK/KS border. After an hour, it became apparant that the cap would not break. We exited at Blackwell, got something to eat, and listened to Rodney Carrington on the way back to provide comic relief for our 175 mile sandwich trip. Upon data review, it was determined that forecast models grossly overestimated the moisture return yet again.
