1st Chasecation Begins

I met Randy Baker through UPS after I sent our Met department pictures of the March 28 storm.  He informed me that he and some friends of his had a chasecation planned the week before Memorial Day, and extended me an invitation to join them...as they had one opening.  I was stoked!!!  I left about 7:15 CDT so I could meet the chase team at the Great Wolf Lodge in KC by 13:00 CDT.  The Lodge was next to the Kansas Speedway, and I could hear the stock cars practicing as I waited.

After meeting the group, we set off north for Sioux Falls, SD. We re-routed to the west on Hwy. 30, due to storms firing in NC Nebraska.  The storms never amounted to much, so we called it a night in O'Neill, NE (Nebraska's Irish town).  The guys in the group were great, and I felt at ease with them immediately.  I went to bed knowing I was in for one awesome week!!!
