Arnett Hail

Conditions seemed ripe in Western OK for a severe weather outbreak.  Kellie was able to get her parents to watch Dylan for us, so we set off around 4pm CDT on a rare chase involving just the two of us.  Storms fired near the OK-TX border late in the afternoon, and the chase was on.  The storms remained largely LP for the first hour. Then, as the storms neared Arnett they encountered better moisture and strengthened.  We did receive some quarter sized hail in Arnett.  We followed the storm east toward Seiling, but it began to dissipate as insolation decreased near the end of the day.  Although the storms did not become too severe, I was still glad that Kel and I got to enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon chase together...something that does not happen too often now that we are parents.
