Zac and I headed to Altus to chase. We left early enough to make it to the local McDonald's, where we knew they always had TWC on a TV in the dining area. In fact, it was a regular routine on SW OK chases in those days before we had decent radar data. Convection broke the cap to our NW, and the chase was on. The cells were moving SE, so we waited just west of Altus and watched a supercell with a wall cloud approach our location. The storm did not maintain it's supercell characteristics very long though because the inflow was cut off by a storm to the south in Texas. Due to remaining daylight and the distance of the Texas supercell, we stayed on our storm and were at least rewarded by some incredible CG lightning and hail.
